im annoyed by ppl who are lazy in their religion
i am super annoyed by people who claim to be actively religious, but who disregard their religion's laws, etc on a regular basis. please tell me what is the point of being a certain religion if you aren't even going to respect it enough to obey its rules? why not take some responsibility and obey your religion, or find a different religion that suits you, or better yet why not disband from religion altogether. nothing annoys me more than ignorant hypocrites and liars.
mostly this boils down to my strong annoyance with the mormon culture, since i do live in utah (though i do have my annoyances at other religions- don't worry). honestly, i haven't met a single mormon who has been upstanding in their faith. all but maybe one or two of the mormons i've ever met swear and watch R-rated movies, drink caffeine, lie, steal and go do non-church-related things on sunday. some of the mormons i've met pirate things online, drink alcohol, dress immodestly, and have had premarital sex- and none of those things are allowed in their religion. and the best thing about these people, is that they still go to church on Sunday, take sacrament, and deny they've ever sinned. it is disgusting, annoying, and pathetic. i mean, COME ON, who the hell do you think you are? what are you doing in that religion if you're not going to listen to a damn thing it says? clearly you think you're above their laws, so why not just leave the church and live life YOUR way.
annoying as that all is, the thing that really pisses me off the most is that while none of these hypocritical nutjobs follow their own rules, but they are still pushing them on those of us who AREN'T mormon. why. why do I have follow your rules and you don't? why don't you shut up and let me drink my high-point beer, watch my smutty movies, and smoke my cigarettes without sneering at me. while i think you and your religion is ridiculous, i don't actually care about anything you do. i'm not trying to limit your lifestyle or impose my values on you. i'm not trying to make you feel like a criminal for the choices you make. but yet you can't give anyone else the same respect. you take our liquor out of the supermarkets. you water down our alcohol in restaurants. you don't let us smoke within a stone's throw of anywhere, you censor everything, you turn over magazine covers and dvds in stores, you keep all the stores closed on sundays, you force us to have several tv channels dedicated solely to YOUR religion, you sneer at us if we drink coffee or tea, you tattletale even as fucking grownups, you are sneaky and manipulative, and all of you actively look to expel those of us who are not mormon away from you and anything you like.
FUCK YOU. leave us alone and mind your own god damn business. obey your god and stop being a complete joke and a laughingstock to the rest of the world. stop trying to control everyone else who is actually using their free-agency, and stop wasting all of our open land here with your stupid fucking temples and churches.
